here is a blade that I forged out of an old mower blade, polished blade, camel bone handle, mosiac pin and liner from sharpblades, and copper pins. hope you like it.

I know a guy that used to take old automobile leaf spring and make swords out of them. Have you ever heard of that?

thanks, I have heard of using leaf springs, I have actually made a camp axe out of a Landcruiser leaf spring before. I will try and find some pics and post them.

:wow: that's a close and personal zombie weapon if I've ever seen one.

Nice blade there. I have a 24" Carbon Steel Blade out of a machine that used to be cut our paper $$. We had it at work and it cut through stacks of cardboard 12" thick. Need to dig it up. And get something made out of it.
Great to others making knifes..
Anyone ever took a file and use it for one? I have a buddy that made one out of a big file. man it would hold an edge.

I mainly use old files for my knives, they can be tricky to harden sometimes after they have been in the forge, but overall they make some really fine blades. I will post some pics of one that my wife forged out in a few days when she finishes it.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
