The guy I got my bike from sandblasted the master cylinder.. I thought I cleaned it good, But when I try to bleed the master it keeps bringing up a cloud of crap.....Any ideas how to get it clean enough to work ?? I put a kit in it but it not putting out pressure...Thx RW

I would take it back apart and soak it in a bath of carb cleaner (the kind that comes in a can with a lift out basket), then rinse it with water real good and blow dry it thoroughly. Check to make sure there are no pits in the cylinder walls where the piston goes in too. If it's pitted, it's shot. If so, you might be able to hone it but I doubt it would work very well.He should have blasted it with soda. Not sand.

I don't know if this will help, but...
What kind of brake fluid did you use?
most motorcycles use a DOT 5,
which will not mix with a DOT 3 or 4.
DOT 5 has silicone in it, where DOT 3 and 4 doesn't.

If it's got the right brake fluid you may have to open up the bleeder valve on the front and rear and try to put some pressure on th master cylinder to blow all the fluid out until you get clean fluid draining out .

Well, I tried everything suggested and more. I broke down an ordered a new master cylinder. Will let you know how it goes when it arrives. Thanks for your help.....RW
