So with whats predicted for weather what are the chances of you being "stuck" at home? Obviously the snow is no concern as opposed to the ice.
Being that everything will freeze overnight do you think you'll be frozen in?
For me considering the Christmas and day after experiances i may not be going anywhere. Hopefully someone wont run over our street sign again.

KT, I dont get out on the roads unless I HAVE to. If it comes a bad snow or ice storm and we loose power, me and a buddy get out and cut any trees off the power lines up to the main power lines at the hwy (about 2 miles) it helps get our power back on faster. Other than that I stay at home.

Well i had to be at work an hour ago and cant get traction getting out of my neighborhood. So far my entire shift has called me stating they cant get to work.
News says freezing rain will be dropping and layering the roads even worse here soon. I'd hate to get stuck at work :soapbox:

Don't think I'll get out in it unless I have to.Got a 4 wheel drive so that will help if need be.

My boss told me to stay home, I don't think they want me to scuff up their new van!

Looks like a foot of snow on the back deck! A lot more than on Christmas day. I don't have any reason to go anywhere. I just hope my gutters can handle all that weight when it starts to slide off the high pitch on the roof.

My boss just text me that he made it to work. I guess that means i have to retry. As far as i know none of my employees made it so i hope its not just me and my boss.
Looks like about 8" on my back deck. If i wreck my car cause my boss pushes me to go to work we will not have kind words :soapbox:

I agree. Im not gonna risk it. Him and 2 other guys out of 40 employees have made it. Its just gonna freeze over throughout the day.

My boss is from upstate New York. It just ticks him off if I call in because of the weather!
You know who I"m talking about, Gav! :)
Guy I work with hit an ice patch the last time we had some. Totaled his late-model Chevy truck.
I KNOW who you're talking about and that wreck story just proves my point: Ain't worth it.

I still haven't left my driveway. I'm going to cancel my meeting with the Sheriff too. I'd say the main roads are pretty clear but you have to get to them :)
